Welcome back, Alterans! David the Most Supreme/Coolest Adventurer to Ever Walk the Earth here, with another community spotlight. It seems like Wintertide just flew by, though I'm still cleaning up the mess left by Santa Orc. Seriously, somebody needs to teach that guy some hygiene. I don't think I've ever met someone so filthy... well, except maybe for MistaSparkles. I don't think he's taken a bath in years. Yeesh.
Anyways, Argenta's sent me out to catch all the new art gallery openings in Saint's Haven. A new year means new art shops, and I'm here to let you in on some of my favorites.
Tyvoni is a new and upcoming artist with really slick portraits. Reach out to him on the forums and maybe he'll make one for you! I've seen a lot of art in this style, but I don't know if I've ever seen it look so polished. Tyvoni's work looks like it was ripped straight out of the most popular mangas!
I do appreciate an artist who can do multiple styles, so I was impressed when I stumbled across oOXanderOo's shop in some Saint's Haven back alley. Chibi style seems super popular these days, so it's always good to have an artist who can do it. Xander's just at good at making Adventurers look cute and kawaii in his drawings as he is at making them tough and awesome. Check it out! Don't tell Argenta, but when she's sleeping I sometimes sneak into her library and flip through her books. She's got so many, she won't notice if I borrow one, right? Right??
Anyways, I found a dusty old book written by Nezumiiru. It's a classic tale of a heroic archer saving a bumbling warrior from a deadly dragon... hey, wait a minute... I'm a warrior! Everyone knows we're tougher than archers, I mean... harumph.
Well, it's still a good read, even if the hero isn't a warrior. I mean, if the main character were a warrior, it wouldn't be cool unless it was me. I'm clearly the best warrior so I should be the hero of ALL the stories. Just my opinion... but it's right.
Well, here's looking forward to the next chapter of "Warriornapped!"
If you like words AND pictures together, then Astry's DN Online comics are for you. Astry has published nineteen comic strips so far, and they're so funny they crack me up every time. Except I have to laugh reaaaalllly quietly, because Argenta hates laughter. And smiling. And you know, anything fun.
Well, that's it for this month. I'm getting prolific with these community spotlights, so you guys should go back and check out the ones I did for the past few months. They're pretty sweet too. And keep on creatin', Alterans. You never know who I'll spotlight next!
